I live in Southern California by the coast. Lawn is being watered but it is turning brown. When you pull the brown grass it just pulls right out no resistance at all. No visible bugs or worms. About 4 weeks ago we used pure strength bleach to clean our patio furniture while it was on the lawn. We realized that it was probably a mistake and immediately watered the lawn in hopes of leaching out the bleach. Could it be that we got some pure strength bleach on the lawn? What is the best way to restore the lawn? Do we pull it all up and replant, but we are in a drought. We live in a condo so the area is very small. It is important that we have lawn because our American Bulldog get his much needed exercise there. He has never ruined the lawn or urinated on it. So the damage is not from him.
