I'm not sure what would kill them, but I know that my parents always put out Hedge Balls to keep crickets & spiders away. You might give that a try!

What's a hedgeball? I have lots of crickets and zillions of spiders. They don't bother me when they're outside but I'm finding lots of spider egg sacs in my basement and I'm running into spider webs just walking thru my house. They must be plenty busy while I sleep.

Get a couple of cats. I have two house cats and no insect lasts more then a couple of hours in my house.

Last night I woke up at four am and thought the alarm clock buzzer was ringing! I roused myself, looked at the clock, and realized it was the crickets outside. And I have been hearing a chirping for several days from the sofa in my living room. For the first time, I'll be happy when frost comes.

Why do you hate crickets? I love to hear them as it's the defining sound of summer. In fact,I have bought a little terrarium with lid to set up a habitat in which to keep some of those little guys for the winter. They will remind me of the dear, lost days of summer. Besides, a cricket in your home brings good luck.

If you don't like them in your house, you could take them outside.
