It sported to a white (if that is something this shrub ever does). Otherwise the named cultivar was grafted onto a white seedling or cultivar, but I don't think grafting is usual with these.

The last possibility is that more than one plant was put in the pot to produce a denser looking product, and a white one got mixed in by mistake.

its pretty late in the season.. are you sure they arent fading to white...

and surely.. ONE FLOWER ... is not a trend ...

But! Right next to this flower has bloomed a second, fresh WHITE! flower.
The rest of the blooming flowers are the lavender.
And no, they are not fading to white, they have bloomed white..

......I'll go and look to see and get back to you regarding whether the branch that is white is independent to the ground and with out any lavenders or whether there are both colors on the same branch.....
