wilt proof

Don't know if this is the right forum--I'm a new user. I think I saw an article that said research had been done that showed that using Wilt Proof, or similar anti-dessicants, to prevent winter kill in evergreens was not effective. My memory is that they discovered that it lasts less than a week, and you'd have to be constantly spraying. Since it can only be sprayed when its significantly over freezing, this is not possible in Minnesota, even if one wanted to spend the time and money.

Does anyone have additional information? Thanks. Marsha
