I have a pioneer/poulan model 500. It needs a cylinder kit. Does anyone have a lead on this. Also, I am trying to fix this saw because the saws on the market now just aren't as good as those saws from the '80's. I might try to get a older saw. Any thoughts on your favorite homelite model. Do any of these classic saws still have available parts.
Hey, Make that a pioneer/partner 500 chainsaw. I believe it is more a partner then anything and was made in Sweden. Still looking for the piston and cylinder.
Thanks, I had the chainsaw to my mechanic and he said that the part was no longer available. This part number comes up as a poulan/weedeater cylinder. It would make sense that it would interchange but no one list it as a poineer/partnar part. Can I rest assured that this will really fit my saw? Your advice has been a great help.
