Where I'm from Redmax won't work at all. @ wot, you look back and all you see is a black hole forming... scary

Stihl 4Mix blowers have a lot of drop valve problems. Read forums like lawn site and lawn cafe. Their BR420 or BR380 are bullet prove though.

In San Francisco bay area, Stihl blowers are not popular at all. Mainly are Echo and Redmax. We have very good sales with Stihl. I had seen BR600 for $379, BR550 for $299. I just never see these using by LCOs.

If you ever got talk into buying one of those 4Mix blower, use synthetic oil like Stihl Ultra or Amsoil if you want it to last and decarbon it.

Never seen anyone here in MA using a redmax. I'm sure some places sell them. Most use stihl and echo. By far I see way more stihl blowers. I have a BR550. For the price, its one of the most powerful blowers on the market. Its definitely one of the best pieces of equipment I own. No problems in 3 plus years and over 75 hours. I haven't even changed the spark plug or fuel filter yet. Just stay away from the cheapo stuff and any blower will be fine.

75 hours is still new, Good 2 cycle blowers should last about 2000 hours or more!!!
