BCS is high quality and pricey because of it. The 205 is an older unit and attachments are scarce, the coupling is different than the new models, although I believe an adapter coupling is available.

Thanks for your response. I was kinda hoping to have someone respond with direct experience with a 205 snow thrower. I also have access to a 716 and could get a thrower for it but the price is 2X one for a 205.

The 716 is a whole 'nother tiller. Don't get me wrong, I like my 205 a lot but that 716 is AWESOME compared to it. If I could get an 800 series I'd be happy as a pig in mud, but the cost is very prohibitive(near 10K with all the attachments I want) for a guy who isn't doing a 10 acre market garden.

The Gardener series works very well as a tiller but falls short with the front mount attachments due to gearing.Third gear only works in forward with rear attachments for safety reasons. When the handles are swung around, forward becomes reverse so third gear is locked out, it would now only work in reverse. This leaves two speeds, slow and slower, not the best for snow blowing or mowing.The 800 series Harvester works well but as you say, it is pretty pricey for the home owner.
There is a 9hp 620 which for some reason is not advertised that works great with front attachments but it will not accept the tiller, the handles are fixed. Life is full of compromises.

As a followup, I bought a completely different tiller off Ebay last week. $760 for a 715 with 8 HP Kohler, 20 inch tiller, 28 inch blower. Basically, I bought a whole machine for the cost of the snowblower for the 716.

I really like my 205 but, since I couldn't find an affordable snow thrower to fit it close to me, it has to go. It's already on the Madison Craigslist.

I'm really excited to pick up my new-to-me tiller! I'll let y'all know how it works. Just my luck, we'll get no more snow this year. I'm having a hard time seeing the bad in that, though...
