Old tillers

Also when you think about it homeowner tillers very often get much use, till in the spring and in the fall maybe so at the most 4 or 5 hours a year if that. I kept mine inside at least 30 years, changed the oil every year, cleaned the carb., and gas tank every few years. as far as the drive I've done nothing except keep the tines clean and free. Maybe I just got lucky with it?

I see these old rusty beater's for sale all the time for 25 to 75 bucks. I also thought I had to have a rear tine tiller about 8 years ago. Course I got an MTD used for less than $200 bucks, It looks like new. I'm in the process of raising my garden so probably won't need either of them now.

I had a tired and used to pieces tiller that I managed to coax into life for tilling the beds. Then I replaced it with another, This time an ancient Troy bilt. Now I just borrow a Mantis.

I got a tiller attachment for my weedeater works about the same as the mantis after all an't the mantis a weedeater attached to the same tiller attachment (or visa versa) with handles? I seen an earthquake today at lowes while I was buying drip shyt. I was about 169.(half the price of the mantis) not a bad price but still weedeater on a tiller attachment with handles. I'll watch for a used one for half that.

I have been looking for a tiller head that will attach to my Husquavarna straight shaft. Any hints? The Mantis is pretty nice tool. Pricy though.

Unless you have the convertible model (shaft splits so different attachments can be used) even if you do the tiller attachment 100 bucks. Look at the low end models at home depot and lowes. earth quake I think the call them list for 169.

I was given a old green rear tine tiller that has TN coop on it.Can anyone tell anything about this old tiller?
