tiller questions

At our church, I take care of lawns and lawn tractors, on six acres. Yes! Without a doubt I know nothing about my somehow getting pushed into getting plows, tillers, etc. Maybe a tiller would be enough for us.

Folks, I need an education in tillers. We're going to do a church community garden. 150'x75 (11K sq ft approx).

The plot is on a nice, big yard. So, we'll need to chew up grass, etc. Now I know the tillers do that nicely (forward and across).

What's next is where I need help. Between "roughing" it and crops, what do we do for row crops? I've heard maybe tillers can row crop. What kind of setting do row crop? How are those settings changed from plowing?

I'm thinking one of the 8 or so self propelled Sears jobs. What kind of features/setting do I look for in that level?
