john deere help please

i got a john deere trs 27 and i took the carb apart and cleaned it and blew it out and i put it all back together and made sure all the adjustments are correct but when i start it up it either stalls or runs really rough and seems like the gas is not fulling running through the lines like it wouyld full idle back down to almost stalling then back and fourth until it dies can any one help please

Check flywheel key. Sounds like it might have sheared. Also, check breather hole in gas cap. Might find it is plugged by dirt or a mud wasp egg! Do this first!
When you put the machine away last spring, a mud wasp may have laid an egg in that little breather hole, and now it is blocked by the remains of that. Don't laugh--i've made some significant cash from that problem.
