Check cap on fuel tank. It probably is plugged by dirt, or a little bug that has laid an egg in the hole! The symptoms you describe are exactly how the problem unfolds.
To wit: First off, the bug either lays an egg in the breather hole, or crawls in there to hide, and probably die.
So, here you come, and after several days, weeks, or months of not using the machine. you start it up, on the fuel in the carburetor bowl and line. And, it stalls. So you look into the tank, by removing the cap, which breaks the vacuum, and gas again flows into the carb. So, you try it again--same thing! And with all of your consternation, you forget that you had just checked the tank, so off comes the cap, and In goes the air, and WOW you just found the problem---maybe---but it starts readily, and runs good, and---it stops again, at which point the little dead bug or egg has finally triumphed over the smartest animal on earth. This might, and has, happened to the smartest and the dumbest folks on earth--and all caused by a leetle bug!
Now, i'm not saying that is your problem, but, try running it with the gas tank cap off. Might learn something! by: Rusty Jones. TMM

is it still under warranty? if so take it back

You need to check fuel flow from fuel tank to fuel pump. Was there any water-debris in the carb. bowl? Its still possible that the carb. could be partially plugged causing the lean fuel mixture. It would be best to remove and clean carb completely rather than still on the engine. Also, make sure if there is a fuel solenoid on the carburetor that it is retracting completely when power is turned on. Check the fuel cap as recommended before.
