Last night, after a record Easter snowfall here in Wisconsin, the auger on my Sears snowblower quit turning. The impeller and wheels work fine. I think I noticed some oil in the snow but since it was dark I could not confirm.

The shear bolts are fine.

My only thought is the transmission where the auger meets with the drive shaft. It is a die cast housing and the auger shafts are attached to it.

Any suggestions? If it is the transmission, can anyone recoment where to get it relaced or repaired?
