Living in New England, I depend upon wood as the primary heat in winter. I usually burn through 5-7 cords of hardwood a season. I have a jonsered 2065 Turbo for felling and bucking, and a little old Stihl 011AV takes care of the limbing and smaller tasks. Recently my little stihl has been having some issues. After replacing the piston, reed, ignition, bar, chain, filters, and having the carb rebuilt it lacks power... compression is 155+, carb has been tuned many times, great spark, yet it can't keep up with what it once was...?! So, I decided to buy a new second saw. After shopping around I can't find a saw that has comparable power to weight (my 011 weighs 9lbs with a 41cc engine pushing close to 3 bhp). Should I say goodbye to my old stihl and buy a new saw - or put the effort in and mint out my old friend?
