I thought they had a noticeable tag below the engine. If it is missing, bring engine #s to get the year and a bit of research may get the job done.

BTW -many snowthrower parts are common otc parts. What tye of parts do you need.

Initially, I'm looking for the auger drive pulley & pulley cover. The one that is about 6 - 7" in diameter. The drive pulley has actually split down the center of the pulley as if the belt sliced it in half.

I know that I'll need to split the machine to R&R the part.

I'll take a look for the tag in the morning. It's got a 8hp Tecumseh (snow king?) engine. I'll try to locate the engine numbers.

The only numbers I can find are for the engine stamped into the flywheel shroud:

HM80 - 155245J SER

My thought was if you could find the year- someone w/ old Roper fisch could locate the model by year. I would check with that mom and pop repair shop around the corner. Then you could point and look at it and say, yep- that's it when you found the year and build. After the serial # of the engine is a shorter # that is the build date. However, I would think the driven pulley may be able to be found aftermarket. The shield would be a different story. It may be nla anyways.

I've done some additional digging and the model year seems to be 1975. Actual model# could be 826. I'm still looking for additional information.
