the zoos here contract out to a composting business, you can buy 'zoodoo' but it's already finished compost. Do they do that up your way too?
It's fun telling a three year old that the compost's made of rhino, giraffe, zebra and antelope pooh!
It's not the cheapest, but when I inevitably need more than I can make, I can guarantee it won't have blue plastic bits mixed in to uncomposted sawdust...

Yes, Pippimac, you can get the zoodoo finished here in Seattle. They call the product, "Bed Spread," which doesn't quite have the same zeitgeist/je n'est sais quoi quality to my mind.

And you're right, it isn't the cheapest, but it is fun to tell little ones the source of the compost. I'm planning to use it on my Tigerella and Green Zebra tomatoes to emphasize the whole jungle/animal theme. Fun in the garden!

I received some "zoo doo" from Woodland Park Zoo as a Christmas present a couple of years ago - best gift I got that year!! Since it is worth its weight in gold, I saved it for only the very most deserving/needy plants in my garden :-)

Not Zoo Doo, but I use the manure from my 5 Burmese Pythons constantly. They are not herbivores, but the ultimate carnivores. I just toss it around in my sheet mulch scheme, and it not only fertilizes but deters mammalian pests that would otherwise harvest my garden before me. It also takes a whole season to break down as it is not readily water soluble.
Works for me.
