pressure washer problem

I own a Sears Craftsman,year 2000 pressure washer model 580.768330 / 2400psi / 6hp Briggs..this year it started surging and losing pressure. After reading post on here, I replaced the unloader and the check valves (6). Works good now.

Now, the PW leaks small amounts of water where the brass manifold meets the aluminum pump housing. There are two half rectangle cutouts on the aluminum housing right where it meets the brass and water trickles out there. Never noticed it before.

Any ideas

Replace he o-rings that provide the seal.

Ok, figured that would possibly be the problem. There are three O rings that fit inside the brass manifold. They are rubber O rings inside a round plastic housing. Since there doesnt appear to be any oil leaking in the water, I have to assume the oil seals are ok and just these plastic encased O rings need to be replaced.

My pump is on a vertical shaft. Will the new O rings need to be facing with the rubber side up or the plastic side up?
