I am contemplating purchasing an 8/14 Simplicity chipper for $400.00. As this half off original retail, it seems like a good deal on the surface.

Can someone provide me a review on the performance of this chipper/shredder? It's the 8hp model with a 3" diameter limit and less than 10 years old.

Also, are parts still readily available?

I've a search on the site for this brand of shipper and have not seen too much performace data.
