I would go to the MTD site and try to track down instructions. They have some downloadable manuals and may have some instructions as well. I have a Horse and I haven't used the hiller for a long time, but I think it connects to the tiller with just one pin.

Here are a couple photos of a hiller attached to my 1999 Horse Big Red. The hiller slides onto the depth gauge support and is attached with a spring clip which goes through the holes of the hiller and the hole in the support. I don't know if the setup for the Pony is the same.

Did the hiller furrower work well on your pony? (5hp?). Troy bilt told me that "you should buy a horse" and that "the hiller furrower would not work on the pony". What was your experience?
