Onliest possible prob would be if you've got any hills/rises on yer cottage property - thet machine's hydro is not really strong enuff to hold up under heavier loading, IMHO.
OTW, you should be fine. Just go over the unit closely after you take delivery.. sometimes tire pressures are too hig (from shipping), mower deck may not be leveled, chk all fluids, hardware all tight/secured, etc. .... If it ain't right, take sears to the wood shed. Better than having a panic this comin spring with grass growing like mad...

Looks good...tire pressure was high.......Leveled deck.......don't need it for 2 months yet in Wisconsin....fuel tank looks hard to get at..........funnel I suppose. Just don't look user friendly. Also bought a suicide knob..........right fender hydro.

if the machine was not pre-serviced before you took delivery - or you are not sure - would not hurt to do the purging as described in your owner's manual, IMHO. Hydro may not need such, but it won't hurt the machine if done like the manual sez...and then you'll be sure that all is good... :)

I'll follow the manual............I'm sure it wasn't done...........first time with gas in it I'll do it for peace of mind

yup, right way to go... and leavin thet gas tank empty until you get ready to run it later this spring will also help keep the fuel system from gumming up or the fuel going bad. Later on - when you're gonna leave the machine sitting for more than a cuppla weeks - consider putting some gasoline stabilizer in the tank - will slow the gas turning stale.
