I will not go to any of the Home Depots here for anything. About as useless as tits on a boar hog.

Pressure washers. You get what you pay for. When looking at them. Look for a CAT pump and a good engine. In my book people are just wasting their time looking at anything below 2400 PSI and 3 GPM.

I picked up a Coleman electric pressure washer, out of the garbage. It works good, but the wand leaks a lot! I don't know where to find seals for it! Anybody that can help-please do!

I bought a gas powered pressure washer from Northern last year, following the advice from this board, I made sure the washer came with a CAT pump and a Honda engine. Out of the box, I had horrible problems with the wand leaking. I took the gun assembly apart, found where the wand screwed into a threaded fitting, unscrewed it, put on some teflon tape and screwed the wand back in (just a little tighter than before) and it works fine. Doesn't leak a drop. It does make you wonder why the assemblers tighten the wand properly--or use .10 worth of teflon tape.

I know you don't like Home Depot but in their ad in this morning's paper, they had a Ryobi pressure washer (don't remember the specs...it's not on the website) that had a three-year engine and pump warranty. There's most likely some fine print in the warranty but may be worth looking into.

That Ryobi PW has a Robin Subaru OHV 7hp engine. Should last a long time, they are ruggedly built.

I bought that Ryobi power washer (3000 psi/2.7GPM) from Home Depot 2 weeks ago for $400. It was an open box special and it works fantastic! I have stripped paint off of foundations and cleaned a wood deck in less time that I thought possible. The Robin/Subaru 7 hp engine is excellent and should last forever. The Ryobi unit is nice because you can put 2 gallon bottles of degreaser or deck cleaner in the bucket and transport it at the same time. The biger units with the Honda GX motors are twice the price. I am happy with this product and would recommend it to those looking for a medium duty power washer that is light and portable.

I want to thank you for posting the link to Pressure Washer Supply. I have a Craftsman washer which has done yeoman duty for me for years. The pump finally gave up the ghost from corrosion. It was my own fault for not thoroughly flushing soap out of the system.

It was so corroded I couldn't disassemble it. Kind of like an old outboard motor that's been used in salt water and put away for the winter.

Frank at PWS helped me out with suggestions on how to remove the old pump and then selected a new pump to fit. I'll end up spending under $150 instead of laying out $400 for a new unit. I owe you a cold one! :)

Count me on the Ryobu bandwagon! I bought one this Summer and have been very pleased. As I've said before, the Robin/Subaru engine will be worthy enough to replace the pump, rather than the whoile unit, when the pump fails (and that's a given!!)

i went to home depot. they head one of those weekend sales i wasn't looking for anything but i spotted a pressure washer i knew i need one but it wasn't time yeah but when i ask the sales guy how much was it he said half price o lil be under half price (damage package box )
$200 is was a RYOBI 3000 PSI 2.7 GPM with a SUBARU engine to make the story short i love it works fantastic. don't have to pay a fortune and i have a nice pressure washer.
