The wall color is Sherwin Williams SW6142 Macadamia and the cabinet color is Pratt & Lambert 9-32 Balsa that has been Antiqued.

Is antique the name of the glaze process or is their a specific glaze on these cabinets?

It is the name of the process, I do not have the informtaion on the exact material or color that was used to create the Antiqued look.

If you were going to add a second darker color of cabinetry that could be used in adjoin on adjoining family room bookcases what would you recommend?

Depending on the color of the cabinets in the space adjoining the black is always very sharp as you can see in the photo above. Or a dark chocolate brown stained wood is nice as well.
