If your engine was one with an oil injection it would be OK. But yours uses mixed fuel and that needs to be taken care of by physically cleaning the fuel system. IMO

Most additives that remove water are some form of alcohol. Alcohol will mix with the water allowing it to pass and burn. Trouble is oil will not mix with the segment containing this water/alcohol flush. This CAN allow the engine to continue to run while paasing the water while it has no oil to lubricate.

Unless your choice of additive specifically states it will not compromise oil mixing in 2 stroke fuel mix I would not do it.

Thanks, it was intuitive, not scientific, to me that fuel cleaners (not as obvious with dryers), would defeat the lubrications properties of the mix.

I understand somehthing called Sea Foam is specifically designed for cleaning fuel systems in 2 cycle engines.
