Don't know Mint Craft, but I had a similar problem with a fiberglass handled maul I bought at Northern Tools. When I tried to return it the guy got mad and said I had abused it. How do you abuse a maul? I miss some times, that's why I paid double for a fiberglass handle. He finally said he would give me my money back if I would never come in his store again. I bought a replacement fiberglass handle for it at another store and have used it ten times as much as I did before without any problem.

A replacement handle for your posthole digger might be harder to find, but I'd look for one.

Took the posthole digger back to local hardware store (where purchased) and got new tool replacement. comment was that this type of break is not too common-but happens. Of course, we will continue patronage to this store!

Store feels Mint Craft supplier honors its lifetime warranty advertising.

Fiberglass just doesn't seem to hold up like old fashioned oak or ash hardwood handles. The wood handles could take a lot of stress and shock whereas fiberglass just seems to shatter.
