Broken Fiberglass handle: Mint Craft-posthole digger

Only 1-2 years old, and handle 'snapped' about 36" from top of one yellow handle. Can see that lower portion attached to 'spade' has filling about 6" below the break line.

Was about two feet deep in good old KY clay, and not using any more effort than I use with my vintage (60 year old-original wooden handled) posthole digger. My hand-me-down version has lost a large piece out of one its shovels...thus, I purchased a new one.

I did find an 800 number on the web of a dealer selling the Mint Craft brand and will call tomorrow. There is a decal on this tool that says there is a life time warranty. There is no info on mfg. I do not recall where I bought this tool.

IF, the warranty is worthless, would you just replace the handle with a wooden one? This is the only tool I have with fiberglass handles. This tool has dug fewer than 50 postholes since purchased...Anyone, familiar with this brand?
