I'm doing a complete rebuild of a Briggs 20hp Intek engine. The oil pump worked before and looks to be in good condition. A new oil pump assy costs around $25 and was wondering what people's opinion is on installing a new oil pump?

When I rebuilt my car engine, I replaced it. More so becuase I was told it was a good idea. I was wondering if it's the same with a small engine or if those oil pumps are ok to be used again.

Thank you!
