Don't recall specifically for this model but in general counter clockwise opens oilers. Most have just 1/4 - 1/2 turn available.

Thanks for answering my question. Mine seems to be a screw in the middle of a big square of plastic. It can be screwed in many turns or out many. I tried taking it out two full turns and it didn't seem to make much difference and then I took it back in two turns and then two more. I know that I adjusted it before (5-6 years ago) but I can't remember which way to turn it. I did put the manual away for safe keeping, which is the kiss of death for me. It is so safely put away--I'll never be able to find it.

Any other ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated.

The oiler was supposedly replaced and now no oil is reaching the bar or chain on a Mcculloch saw MS 1635-----Model CS38EM
Is there an adjustment for this, if so where is it located?
Other suggestions?
