Troy Bilt Horse Tiller

I have a 8HP (Kohler) Troy Bilt tiller that was purchased in May, 1990. It has not been used for three years and is in good shape. It is not getting gas. I did check the fuel tank shut-off valve and removed the hose leading into the carburetor. No sign of gas! Any ideas of what to try next?

No sign of gas where? At the end of the fuel line? Inside the carb?

If have no gas coming from hose you need take off hose and tank clean out until get clean gas coming out. Gas not going in carburator rebuild carb. clean all small passages in carb. there to gas massage one for Idle one form main jet this high speed curcuit until you get small wire through tiny holes.
