that would be the Husqvarna (erstwile Electrolux, EHP and AHP) Craftsman tractors are not made by MTD nor to my knowledge was one ever made by MTD. There was, however, a Deere-made craftsman one year that was a Saber painted different colors. We have verified that.

The L110 is a great tractor with a fine one cyl 17.5 hp Kohler Command engine. I know. I have one.

I guess the secret is out.

MTD has made rear engine riders under the craftsman lable as well as some models of lawn tractors in the past so has murray made lawn tractors and rear engine riders in the past under the craftsman label.

Once you go green chances are you won't go back to anything else.

You might go to Kubota orange if you're lucky.

LOL this more fun than starting a chevy / ford debate. I was guessing MTD because they seem to own everything these days, well not everything, but alot of mower companies that once were independent. That and the sears site said my part was not going to be original, but a "authorized" substitute.
Neighbor said his tractor is in the white building and just grab it whenever you need to. He has another JD in there, bigger, not sure of the model, but he won't part with it, I already asked.
At least I don't have to sweat the grass being two feet high before I'm up and running again. May have to fix a few other things on that old tractor....wink.

I saw a craftsman push mower yesturday which looked like it was from the late 70's or early 80's rusting away in the woods.

It said manufactured by Yard Man in small letters below the Craftsman tag. Is this the same as the current MTD-owned Yard Man?
