I don't know if this the right place to ask this question but I don't know of another place. So here goes. My daughter in law wants me to paint a "red" metal bed white for my granddaughter. I bought some white krylon paint and every time I try using it on the red it turns pink. Somehow the krylon is dissolving the red. OK so I tried priming it with gray primer I bought at the local farm store and it covers great but when I go over it with the krylon white it still turns pink. So I went to the local farm store again and bought their brand of white and put it over their primer but it still bleeds thru but not as bad. Any ideas beside stripping it? I was just allowing 20 minutes between the primer and the white. Maybe to soon. It did say could be recoated in 10 minutes. Thank for any advice in advance.
