Echo Trimmer Stalls after starting--Replaced Carburtor-still bad

I have an Echo GT-200R curved shaft trimmer that has worked flawlessly for 4 years. Out of the blue, it started to run rough and stall when I increased the throttle. Essentially, it acts as if it is unable to handle the increase fuel flow but idles ok. I can't get enough RPM to spin the shaft now.

Here are the corrective actions I have taken:

1. Replaced the Spark Plug,Air filter and gas filter

2. Cleaned the exhaust screen

3. Had a shop replace the carburator

4. Kicked it in disgust

Anyone have any ideas on why an Echo would stall like this?

You ever take off the muffler to clean the exhaust port?

On the outside possibility, try loosen the gas cap to see whether it helps.

Also spin the head to make sure it spins freely.

Does it run rough or just die when you pull the throttle? Is there ethonal in your gas now, if so you need to use Stabil or Sea Foam. Steve

"3. Had a shop replace the carburator" Was it running okay after the shop did the carburator? Take it back and let them check it for free.
