The owners manual will give you a maximum diameter for material being fed for that model. Even if the one you're looking at meets your needs I would think corn stalks may foul the works due to the stringy nature. You might get away with it if you alternate between the stalks and regular material, allowing the regular limbs to flush out some of the stringy matter.

i would cut the stalks and let them dry for a couple weeks before feeding them in. they should become brittle by then.
