and post it here.

My owners guide shows the bag number as 742-0571 for models645B thru 651B, 5 and 8 hp shredders.

I've got a 1990 5hp Craftsman made by MTD 247.797851 which appears to be same as the Ebay listing. It is an MTD 650 chipper.

742-0571 is a blade part number. The correct bag number is 764-0199A which is replaced by 964-04022. Cost is about $33.00. MTD also has a larger bag 764-0430 which cost about $46.00.

Home Depot used to carry an Arnold equivalent of the 764-0199A for $20.00, but they appear to have discontinued. They were "yellow tagging" for $5.00 and I was able to grab several. Unfortunately, I only have two left and can't part with them.

You should be able to Google the three numbers and find internet sellers like M&D and Tree Tools.

My apologies for posting the wrong number. My glasses must have been on crooked.

FWIW, I made a replacement bag of shade screen material and secured it with a bungee cord. Works OK.

I have an MTD 645B chipper/shredder, circa 1993. I have a 5hp Briggs and Stratton engine. I cannot find any model/serial number for this engine. Any thoughts?
