New Simplicity Deck Adjusted Correctly?

I recently purchased a 2007 Simplicity Regent. I've had the deck on and off a few times while using some pull behind equipment. After putting the deck back on yesterday I noticed that the transport and float lever really does nothing to raise the deck at all. Anyone else have the newer style deck with the full width rollers and notice this. Is it normal that the rollers are ALWAYS on the ground supporting the deck? Even when the lever is in the "transport" position? I see whne the lever is in the float position it just slacks the cable so the deck is free to "float". I guess I don't see why it doesn't raise the deck any...

I believe the Broadmore and Regent are similar.. I have a new Broadmore and the attach point on the deck is adjustable, the length of the attach arm is shortned or lengthened by screwing the point to a position higher or lower on the arm. I adjusted mine to raise a little higher in the transport postion than what the dealer had set.

I have a new Broadmore and I also believe it has the same type of deck as the Regent. I can raise my deck and roller well off the ground while in transport. (I need to in order to get it into my shed) Check the attach arm to make sure it is attached to the deck. The pin may have fallen out. If it is attached you can adjust the position by screwing it higher or lower.

I have an 06 Regent which is the same setup as your. Were the transport cable attaches to the desk their are multiple holes that the pin can go in. Go down one hole. Also, I've found that I also may need to adjust the deck to the lowest cutting position before putting it into transport.

After looking over all attachment points this what I've got. There are two attachment points on the deck. Left and right so two cables hook to the deck. There are NO additional holes in the deck attachment points. THere is however two holes on the upper arms where the cables come from. The cables are already attached in the upper holes. I see what you mean doopstr about adjusting the roller to the lowest cutting depth to raise the deck rollers up whent the deck handle is in the transport position. The problem with this is that the deck is then only about an inch or two off the ground and the blade hubs catch on everything. So I am still perplexed. I can't see any adjustment that would change how high the deck is lifted when it is in the transport position. It really seems this is by design that it is always riding on the rollers. I'm goign to call the dealer and see what they say.

I had a Regent and I could always raise the deck way off the ground for transport.

I'm sorry I can't tell you how to fix it but I can echo that something is not working right. How about emailing pics here or simplicity to troubleshoot?

I have recently purchased a Regent and have noticed that the upstop on my mowers deck is at times in contact with the bottom of the frame and even with the deck at a low cut setting this prevents the deck from raising into transport. When I am mowing it with lift tractor so as not allow any motion forward or back. Additionally, the l-shaped design causes the upstop to come to rest on the lip of the frame as well.My dealer has recommended bending it to allow greater side to side clearance. Check the frame near the upstop and the top surface of the upstop for telltale paint wear. Bye
