My 25 ton splitter is not hard to move at all as long as the tires have plenty of pressure. Once you lift the tongue up to about waist height it balances out and the tongue weight goes away. I'm not about to pull it over any curbs, but it can be pulled up slight inclines with no problem, especially if you have somebody else to push.

We have a larger one at work, and they are handy. The dollies sold at the home centers or places like HF are a bit undersized in my opinion....but would work fine with something the size of a splitter.

The one we use for moving around utility trailers, towable compressors, etc. is one we made up ourselves. It has old 12" trailer tires/wheels for easy rolling even if we have to go across grass or gravel.

Once you try a *decent one* you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner.

Thanks for your responses. They were very helpful and I will not worry too much about that slope now. I will be sure to get one with the widest tires though because it will be pulled over grass for about 100 ft.
