I don't have a clip problem (am using the HFGH clips, not Charlie's), but I do have a comment about the screens. Instead of installing a screen door for the season, I pulled a panel out of the door and installed screening with the standard screening spine; it fit nearly perfectly into the channel and has been hassle-free all summer. It's now about time to change it back, but we've had a very dry and hot spell so I may wait until early Nov. I have an evaporative cooler which requires fresh air, so that's the reason I initally installed the screen.

I'm not sure how you have these clips holding your bubblewrap on or to what extent you want to fasten them but I use tech screws (drill screws) to hold the rollup side clips in place and they work fairly well. Just drill the tech screws through clip, bubblewrap and into the frame and they will almost always hold things in place.

The downside is that you now have a small hole where you may not want it and you will need a cordless driver to install and remove those clips. Overtightening can also break the clips.

If the clips from Charleys aren't as durable you can cut short sections of plastic pipe lengthwise and then cut into 3-4" sections to make your own clips. THose will need to be fastened with tech screws

I appreciate the good tips on this thread for securing bubblewrap. I'm still waffling about how badly I'll need it in my zone, but these ideas will be helpful when I decide to tackle it.

I'm going in on 10-30-07 they said I will be on the operating table for 4 hours I hope I feel better after I get this done.

I got to do something to keep the bugs from getting under the bubble wrap far too much trouble removing it to clean and then put it back up.

Use clear inexpensive packing tape (Lowe's/HD) on the ends. This keeps the bugs out.
