Redmax generally lists CFM at housing. If you see numbers of 800+cfm for a ebz 7001 (now ebz7100)or something around 855cfm or higher for an ebz8001, these are housing.

Prior to purchasing my redmax, I called them and got the real numbers. I believe the ebz7001 was in the high 500s (580cfm or something).

The ebz7001 shares the same motor with the shindaiwa eb630 as well as the largest tanaka. All of these blowers have very comparable power. Husqvarna's backpacks are also redmax based.

A lot of people call Stihl's cfm ratings "optimistic." The BR 600 is generally rated as having higher cfms than the redmax ebz8001, even though those who use them will frequently insist that the redmax "puts out more air."

It is pretty much completely established that the redmax 7001 is more powerful than the br550.

The 7001 has become more or less the standard blower of the pro industry in many parts of the country.
