I can't move the pots. They are huge. It took almost 2 bigs bags of dirt to fill them up! Right now I'm walking my dog until I can confirm it won't hurt him.

It has chicken poo and feather meal, which dogs like. I have chickens and dogs.

My dogs also get into horse manure and fish fertilizer pellets. Fish pellets were particularly disasterous - they must taste really good to the dogs.

Gross. My Ridgeback at a pound of fish fertilizer pellets - she ripped the bag open in the house and ate it. It was the gift that kept on smelling.

Dogs will eat cat poop right out of the box. They are referred to as tootsie rolls.

Can you put rocks or some type of screening over the top of the pots to keep him from licking? I put decorative rocks on any house plants to keep the cats from digging in them.

Oh, yes...the cat poo from the litter box. Yes, he will eat that too! That's why we have to keep him locked out of the cat's room! I'm going to water it in really well and hopefully that will fix the problem. If it won't hurt him I don't mind so much, but I don't want him to be throwing up either!

It also has bone meal (steamed, sterilized bones crushed to a meal) and blood meal (same, but with blood). Is there any wonder why dogs would eat it?

My dogs did the same thing, but lost interest after a day or two - I guess the smell wore off. Now I have to keep a close eye on them for a couple days after applying. Hopefully your dog will lose interest, too!

I think you can water it in when you first put it down. I have to water my coffee grounds in immediately.
