It's all about the space

Well, I pondered and pondered getting a Harbor Freight greenhouse. Problem was, It's just so darn small.

After my wife saw the picture of it, she was ready to dish out the cash... "Oh, It's so cute". Well, I'm 6'2". I'd have had to put it on a 3 foot wall just to step inside.

My solution? Build my own hoop house.

Of course, her reaction was, "Are you serious, they are soooo ugly".

Well, only $170 and 10'x12' (much bigger than the HFGH) and I have tons of headroom.

The tragic end to the story?

I need to build another one, She filled it with herbs and flowers.

Do they make cloaking devices for greehouses?

Tom, good job. We have a duty, a moral obligation, to inform people of their HFGH alternatives.

That is a beautiful GH you have stress baby...I saw one of those the other day and said thats my next one lol...I have grown out of my 4x6 pretty much instantly...and Tom...you will find yourself always shuffling things around to make more space...I have only a 4x6...and I can get a lot of plants in there considering how small....last spring I think I had over 200 plants seeding...when it came time to transplant to a bigger container...I must say it was a challange finding the room...but it was done..enjoy your new GH....it is a greater hobby than other people relize..

THe other day I was setting up my benches and I tried to imagine a 4 x 6 space in a HF. I just can't imagine trying to grow in one of those...

it is really tight...but for now is all I really need....hopefully oneday when I have a larger yard and more time I will get a bigger one
