To deter rabbits I planted nasturtium seeds about 2” apart (zone 6b) in April then planted the rest of the veg. garden a few weeks later. I pulled and ate the Ns in salads all summer to thin them as they got bigger. They have a spicy bite to them and the rabbits won’t cross a line of them. Seems to deter groundhogs too but I’ve only one year of experience and found no research on GH. I chop one or two whole plants (all plant parts) in a salad (3 or 4 qt. stainless steel bowl). Taste the plant the first time so you get an idea of how you want to adjust other spicy salad ingredients — my first N salad was a little hot for my taste. The roots, stems, leaves, and flowers have slightly different tastes. I add an apple, some nuts, tomatoes, or raisins if I overshoot the spiciness. Some greenhouses give their expired seed packets away at the end of the season. Using expired seed for this project doesn’t matter because you will plant them too close and thin them to maintain a solid line all season. There are both bush (mottled G/Wh leaves) and thin vine (solid green leaves) Ns and they usually come mixed in the seed pack. Bob Stein Growth Choices

Without even getting too technical, I do think 1,300 CFM is overkill for a 30", 4-burner range. There is more to consider than just the amount of BTU, but as a good rule of thumb for preliminary numbers, you need 1 CFM per 100 BTU. If you have 4 x 18,000 BTU burners = 72,000 BTU => 720 CFM. The remote blower, regardless of its size, should be quieter than the equivalent integrated unit since it will be further away from where you are standing while cooking.
