I have popcorn ceilings in my entire house. Obviously, I hate them with every breath I take. From what I understand, taking them down ourselves is cheap, time/labor intensive and an unholy mess. Having them done by a pro is faster/easier, neater and really pricey.

I just came across polystyrene tiles and they look really pretty and easy to install and so reasonably priced that I have to wonder if they are too good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with them? Have you seen them installed? Do they look cheap?
