I see that Swisher makes a wide range of outdoor power equipment (OPE) products, including several interesting attachments for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

The Predator looks like a very effective brush cutter. Unfortunately, we have a significant assortment of rocks, rock outcroppings, and small and large boulders in with our brush. Any attack on that brush with a power operated device would very likely seriously damage or destroy the device when it repeatedly came up against concealed rocks and such.

For that reason, I have been clearing by hand, and even then repeatedly damaging the blade of the tool I am swinging. I am also using a pair of big loppers to prune out some of the brush from among the rocks. One of those "daisy cutter" bombs like they used in Vietnam would be handy, except people might complain when I flattened the neighborhood.

Rocks are a problem. The previous owners seemed to hold concrete-chunk-tossing tournaments, and we have encountered chunks in the field. The Predator cut several of them in two, and the only damage done was a nick in the blade! Now cement is softer than stones, so we are not recommending turning your rocks into gravel with a Swisher. We admire your tenacity (and strength!) in clearing your land by hand. What a shame you don't have a local outlet selling Napalm . . . .

I saw that this brush cutter is for sale at amazon. At less than $2,000 it sounds like a great deal if it does what you say it does.
