I read here that worm leachate could be harmful to plants because of alcohol, phenols and terpenes (not that I know what those are) produced by anaerobic fermentation. Since bokashi is anaerobic fermentation, could the leachate contain harmful substances? Could the leachate leach nitrogen from the soil, if it is the byproduct of plants that are not fully composted? The only negative things I have read about bokashi all say that it is not better than regular composting. I find it to be easier, so that's fine with me. The positive things I have read are not very specific about what the leachate contains.
