Split Shaft trimmer + Accessories

Not sure if anyone has experienced this or not. I purchased a Ryobi SS30 weed wackier + Hedge clipper attachment. The idea was to kill two birds with one stone, save money and space. The weed wacker worked great, very happy with it. I just tried the hedge clipper yesterday and I made the following observation. Its heavy REAL HEAVY. For some of my hedges, I have to hold the damn thing over my head....Not a pretty site. The motor is right in my face, even with ear plugs, its real loud. I also found it awkward to trim hedges with a device that is 6 feet long. A regular hedge clipper is 18 inches or so, and a fraction of the weight. Make a long story short; I have come to the conclusion that these muli-use devices are not very versatile. When the thing goes, I will purchase a regular weed wacker and a separate hedge clipper. Please share your multi-use tool experiences. Thank You.
