Depends on your dealers local competition. If other dealers in the area don't tend to wheel and deal, probably not. Stihl doesn't sell through box stores just for this reason, so the servicing dealer has a chance to make a better profit on sales.

I picked up a SH55 (blower vac) for ~$20 below MSRP (it was either $15 or 20 below). I just happened to walk in to a local Stihl dealer and they were running a "special" on them. Anyway, I was looking for a blower/vac and it seemed to fit the bill.

I'm not sure if they would normally go below MSRP if I wanted to bargain. However, I wouldn't do that in this shop. I don't buy many powered tools and over the years I've received great service. Most importantly, they NEVER try to sell me things (unlike other Stihl dealers that I've visited).

In Canada Stihl has the BG55 and other tools on sale at the moment to draw customers from the box stores. We don't sell the consumer products below the listed price because there is so little mark up. The higher end tools aimed at the professional user allow us a little leeway.
