Hello. I've got one sprinkler zone that shorts the whole system. The controller is a Rainbird ESP-8si. The problem zone comes on fine for about 5 minutes and then shuts the whole system down. The rest of the zones operate fine. Meanwhile, the grass is dead and I have huge cracks forming in the yard! I've got a hot Texas summer coming, and I'd like to know where to start looking to solve this problem. My husband is afraid that professional sprinkler repair will cost 1K or more. He's handy, but he also thinks it will take too much digging and effort to track down the problem. I really don't like his suggestion to pave half the backyard as a solution. Help, please!
