Help!!! using pond to irrigate

I have used a 3/4 horse jet pump with 1 1/2 pvc into my pond with a foot valve... hooked to a standard water hose to water my yard the last few years...

Last fall a man gave me 400 feet of 1 1/2 pvc to run water lines in my yard underground so that I dont have to deal with the stinkin water hose everytime I mow... so we ran about 300 foot to various spots, then hooked them all in together... which will hook onto a pump. I am thinking that my pump will have to fill all the lines first before it has any pressure at any given point..thats not a problem. okay thats what we did last fall.... meanwhile my pump broke and I need a new one. I bought one ..but think it isnt the right one..so we wont talk bout it..i will tell you what i have and you tell me what you think.....

I run about 12 foot out from my pump with a drop of approx 2 foot... then I have an elbow on my pvc which drops down into the water about 4 feet lower with a foot valve. Using regular electrical outlet for power. Thats how water gets to my pump. now.. the new lines ... there are two of them both about 100 foot long but each of them has a y off to another location making each line for total feet about 150..but they are all hooked together right beside where the pump will be. they are 1 1/2 inch pvc burried better than a foot in ground and have spickets (total 4 spickets). From where the pump is to the highest point is approximately 8 foot height, again this 8 foot is gradual over about 100 feet.

will a one horse pump do this? will i be able to use all the spickets in so far as if i attach soaker hoses? If I need pressure and only use one of the spickets will that work? I know I cannot expect GOOD pressure from all four spickets used at the same time..thats not a biggie...

I plan to make some changes next year..but this year I am pretty "tapped" out (pun..lol) I want to use a switch at the pump to activate each individaul line. later.

I am not using a pressurized tank... never had to with the other pump using a water hose.. do i need it now??

I saw some of that flexible hose at the store..in sizes like 1 1/2 inche..would that be a better inlet instead of the hard pvc? I mean then i can go direct into the pond... using a 5 gallon bucket as a filtration system to keep the foot valve from getting clogged. right now i use the hard pvc... then do the drop down with support to keep the foot valve off the bottom.

yeah i know..lots of questions in one post..

thanks for any help.
