I installed shallow wells,, old fashion thing I bought from Lowes to try to develop the wells initially is called a pitcher pump, i think ;) Amazing amount of water it pumps. Forget, but think about $35 new, made in china.

Putting in shallow wells here was pretty easy.

It's 1 and a quarter pvc. Maybe not orignal well
but a newer well. will still keep working on it.
Can rent a pitcher pump for 20 a day or may buy one.

1.25" x 4' is pretty much the standard PVC sand point here.
One 4' point per 1/4 hp usually. Some people will stack them on top of each other. My neighborhood the us geo survey shows water level starting at ten foot and twenty foot deep.

Open the well and point a flash light down it, shove a tape measure down it see how deep she goes.
You'll see the water level down about 10' hopefully, and it'll most likely work without any testing if its PVC.

I pumped and pumped 1hp for days checking water level on one well that I stacked two points in and the water level never changed. I have never seen any appreciable vacuum change on the pump indicating water depth changes, not even during a full moon.

Well Installation Instructions three/four yrs ago both home depot and lowes sold diy well install stuff. Imagine still do. Really pretty easy to install points and not much cost.

Looks good, cut pvc and lowered tape down. Hit water at 11' down to 22' where the taoe hit. Maybe stacked points. I'll buy a pump soon and hook the old system back up. Feeds hose bib at alley garage, Back of house, and front. Great little started sys for little money if I can get it working. Thanks
