I've got an Ariens 26" blower with a Tecumsah engine bought at a big box store nearly 3 years ago..last year, somehow or other the little gasket that is inside the gas cap seems to have fallen into the tank...and I can't get that sucker out, and I suspect that as one of the reasons I kept getting stop and start problems when in use last year...the fuel hole/line was blocked by that little sucker. I'm getting ready for this year and I have the gas tank off but I can't seem to get that thing out of there...I can see it..but I can't reach it. It doesn't seem to me that the tank is supposed to come apart.
I can't get it out with a long screw driver (the tank is drained by the way), can't reach it with needle nosed plyers which seem to be the answer..I could GRIP the thing..
does anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find the manual due to a house restructuring and Lord knows where the manual is..
Thanks for any help
