I am not the expert on this rain shutoff. Reading the literature on several rain shut off systems, I gathered that they interrupt the common wire connection to the solenoids from the controller when the device is sufficiently wet from rain. No where in the literature does it say you can't connect more than one controller from a rain shut-off device. I would set up the RSOD on both controllers and do a manual test. But then again I am a experimental and a trial and error kind of guy. Replacing a 6-zone controller is not that expensive to me even two. There are a couple system installers on this forum and I if they respond they could answer your question fairly precisely I'm sure. GL JMHO Aloha

Yes and no. There are wireless rain sensors that can do this BUT you will still be buying 2 rain sensors. Each rain sensor has a collection device and a receiving device. The rain collector is what gets wet and sends a signal to the receiver. One collector can activate several receivers. But they are sold as a set and I don't think you can get them purchased alone. Basically if you want only one collector you can make the receivers both "receive" that collectors signal.

If your clocks are mounted close together making the wire run easy the connecting them both to one sensor as your thinking will work fine.
