Put a new plug in first, plugs will spark outside a motor but not work, don't use too much ether, a little mix dumped down the carb or cylinder is better, if you do hold it wide open and it might take over 10 pulls if you put a lot in. It's very unlikely the flywheel key sheared on a blower unless you sucked something in and killed the motor real fast. Steve

Thanks i put in in new plug no luck .

Took out piston again & it was gouged again ,dont know if i put in rings wrong or something got in cylinder . Any way put in new piston & rings & it starts & run perfect .I just hope it dosent happen again. Thanks for your help .Jim
