David Austen has a few roses on sale. I haven't found a good way to search for them but they're $11.98 each. You have to just look up what you want and see if it is in the sale if you didn't get the email that lists them all.

how long ago did the email come? I'm signed up for their newsletter but haven't gotten any emails from them lately. Gotta go check the SPAM folder.

The David Austin email is dated Wed May 14. The subject is Half Price End of Season Offer. There are 3-6 roses in each category for sale. I'm ignoring the sale even though it includes Tea Clipper which I really want, but I don't have any room for right now.

The DA offer code is WN8 and it expires May 27 or when they sell out of roses, whichever comes first. The others on sale are Sombreuil, Altissimo, R Gallica Officinalis, Old Bush China, William Lobb, Roseraie De LÂHay, Lady Hillingdon Bush, Therese Bugnet, Europeana, Tahitian Sunset, and Memorial Day. You should see the sale price even without the offer code, and you still have to pay shipping.

Sophy's Rose and Molineaux are currently blooming in the coldframe and looking just fabulous. What a treat to have blooms in mid-May in Colorado!

I had a similar experience with J&P this spring. I ordered a bareroot for a friend and by the time she received it it was rather late for her zone. It was a dried husk when she received it. I ended up insisting they also give her a gift card to get something else next year. Although I have to admit I was impressed my friend was still able to make it grow.
